(More customer reviews)I'm really impressed with the workmanship of this case. The outside is covered with a rugged upholstery fabric, a texture I quite like and find pleasant to touch. The inside is very soft and smooth and the stitching is perfect, very neat and tidy. The skin I put on my white K3 shows through enough that I don't think it was a waste of a purchase.
My Kindle feels a lot safer when I'm reading on it than it did in the Amazon case. I was always afraid I'd drop it with it open and really mess it up, possibly crack the casing and damage the hinges of the case itself too. But in the JAVOedge case, my Kindle feels much sturdier even though it's in a lighter case. I like how much of the surface is protected from scratches when it's open and it feels good in my hands. However, the Amazon case cannot be opened accidentally and the magnetic closure of the JAVOedge case could conceivably be nudged open by other objects in a large purse.
I may regret giving up the light on my Amazon case, so I'll keep it around for a few more days and decide which case I like better. It's hard to compare the two cases, whose makers took such radically different approaches to design. If you don't need the integrated light and like the fabric, I wholeheartedly recommend this case as a quality product that's a good value as well.

I'm loving this case more every day. I returned the Amazon lighted case and haven't missed it at all. One thing that surprised me about this case is that being held closed by the magnet (there's no snap closure, the magnet's enclosed in the lining of the case somewhere), it's very easy to grab a minute here and a minute there of reading. The Amazon case is more difficult to open (and care must be taken) and I felt like opening it was a bit of a commitment that I should have a few minutes set aside to read if I was going to mess with it.
