(More customer reviews)I received my Piel Frama case about 10 days ago, and I am completely happy with it. It's the only case I've seen that provides a good typing angle, has an interior pocket for a piece of paper or two, and has a style that looks good in business/board room.
It's a very good quality leather, and the detailing is great. No fraying stitches, every cut-out for ports is finished well, folds are hinged well, etc. The iPad fits in it perfectly -- not too hard to slide in, not so loose it would fall out. The magnetic closures work very well -- you can see the outlines of where they connect, but it's subtle and you don't see any metal. It even smells good, like high-quality leather. The red coloring is great -- very rich, deep, and bright.
I had been a little worried about the stability before I bought it, since it looked a little unstable at a typing angle or video-viewing angle in videos I watched online. There's no problem at all with the typing angle (although I wouldn't mind if it were angled slightly more), and the video angle seems stable enough to me. (If you bump it or the back flap slides, it will slide down, but it's fine for most uses.)
I had also worried about the weight, since I've been using my iPad "naked." I could definitely notice a difference when first I put the iPad in the case, but it doesn't seem any heavier when I carry it around in my bag. I compared the weight with a friend who uses an Apple case, and it seemed fairly close, although the Piel Frama is a little thicker and feels more "substantial."
I don't see any negatives at this point, so I would recommend it to anyone looking for a business portfolio case.
