(More customer reviews)I love the Sony PRS350 reader. It's easy to carry (small size), but needs a cover if you take it on the road. No cover provided with the reader by Sony, so I bought this product:
PROS
This cover is well made. The light is easy to use (just flip up light and it automatically turns on) and provides great results. The bright white color provides a large boost to screen contrast (compared to standard room lights) for night time reading.
CONS
The cover clips are not designed for easy insertion & removal of reader.
Unlikely most users will want to bother removing the cover once it's installed.
The cover feels a little slippery (compared to the bare metal with no cover).
The light adds over 1 inch to the reader width. Approximate dimensions:
NO COVER (w/h/d) 4.11 x 0.33 x 5.71
COVER ................ 5.25 x 0.71 x 5.9
I bought the cover to protect the reader from damage in my pants or coat pocket.
Getting in & out was ok without a cover. Now need a shoehorn to get the reader in and out of my pockets.
SUMMARY
This is a great purchase if you just use the reader around the house, or will carry in a laptop bag or purse. But you might be happier buying the cover without a light (~ 0.5 narrower might not seem like much, but it makes a difference in my clothes) if you want to carry in your pants or coat pocket. Just be sure to buy a seperate clip on light for night time reading.
