(More customer reviews)I bought this item so I can read my Nook in the bathtub, and I will also be taking it with me to the beach in a few weeks. The product has two separate zip lock seals that are folded over and held in place by snaps. I feel confident that no water will get into the case in a basic wet or sandy environment, but I wouldn't want to use it to read my Nook submerged underwater or anything like that. There is also some glare from the plastic, but nothing that made the Nook unreadable. Navigating the touch screen isn't easy, but once you have your book open and on the right place, turning the page is very easy.
