I read what I have to - tech books, bible, documents etc... - I don't read "stories". I pulled up a book on the Kindle. and have not put it down since. And of course, went ahead and ordered my own. Truth be told, I ordered my wife a new one. For her. The things I never enjoyed about reading include holding the book. keeping pages open for extended periods of time. Having to set the book down for a sec and losing my page. Getting comfortable holding books (especially larger books) while trying to read for extended periods of time.
The Kindle removed ALL of those issues. I can shop for books, download free trial versions to see if I'm interested and purchase books from the comfort of my home. It also holds my place when I turn it off. If I leave my Kindle at home and want to do a little reading during lunch at the office, I go to my PC, login to Amazon and download the book to my computer and read. It still keeps track of my place, even when I return to my Kindle. You can also download to other devices such as an Ipod, Ipad etc... at NO extra charge. I'm now, for the first time in my life, enjoying reading. 40 years. If you like to read, or even if you don't, you'll love the Kindle. It's cool.
