It WILL charge up your cell phone battery reasonably well with a charged battery.
It's winter here, and we've not had a lot of very sunny days, but given a week attached to the windshield of our minivan, it's done a great job of charging up in the daytime. Being winter, one of my concerns is always having suction cups fall off of the windows due to the cold. No issue with this so far.
The light is not amazingly bright but good in a pinch if you need just a little. The power level lights on the back are very difficult to see indirectly during the day time, but light up just fine at night.
Giving this item 5 stars not because it's amazing and can do everything, but it does match well what it advertises, leaving me with no false expectations, and for the price is a great solar battery backup solution.
