(More customer reviews)I purchased this cover for a second Kindle as a gift. This is a basic cover that does it's job very well. Other reviews mention that the bottom elastic strap covers the back button on the Kindle 3 a little bit. I found this to also be true, but it does not cause any problems when using the key. This cover uses a four point corner elastic & leather strap system. It weighs 5 oz. The cover is well padded (but not too much). The internal structure of this cover is made of cardboard. The cardboard interior makes me wonder if this cover will continue to offer the good protection it does when new.
I also have the Amazon lighted cover that only holds the the Kindle by using metal clips that slide into the slots on the left hand side of the Kindle. It is a very nice case, but does not feel that it holds the Kindle as secure as the DermaPad cover. It also weighs 3 oz more. Since the Amazon cover only holds the Kindle on the left hand side, I am concerned when others use this cover that they could crack the Kindle's plastic case if they are not aware the back of the Kindle should always be touching the back flap of the Amazon cover.
This DermaPad cover uses a secure method to hold a Kindle. For $16.95 this cover feels and looks more expensive than it costs, and makes a very affordable option to other covers available.
