(More customer reviews)The concept of this product is excellent. Unfortunately, the execution of the product is not. If you buy this product, expect it to fail within a few months depending on how often you use it. I use mine a lot as I eat out often and always have my Kindle along.
I have used mine for two months, and while I like how it works, it is falling apart. It is made of layers of compressed paper - yes PAPER. The layers on mine are separating. The tip, where the holder is inserted into the spine is frayed and will soon no longer be able to hold the Kindle upright. The spine has totally separated at the top and now hangs loose.
I haven't found anything else comparable to this. I like how it is unobtrusively attached to the back. All the other products that I have seen required you to carry something else around in addition to the Kindle. I have resigned myself to having to purchase a new one of these ever so often until I find a better product to replace it.
Update: 7/30/2010. After six months of use it's still falling apart but I have found that I can glue the separated layers back together using Elmer's White Glue. The edges are still frayed, even with gluing but it is still usable and better than any alternative I have found.
