After paging through boring case after boring case, the colors of this one caught my eye. Gray and green happen to be two of my favorite colors, and I was looking for a sleeve of this type; it seemed like a safe choice.
After I checked out on Amazon, I looked at some of the Timbuk2 sleeves for the previous version of the Kindle, the Kindle 2, and saw that every product made by this company for the Kindle has near-perfect reviews. I instantly felt more confident in my purchase; I never make impulse buys like this, so I'll admit that I was a little worried I wouldn't like the case when it arrived.
I came home today to find the package on my doorstep, and immediately opened it to check out the sleeve. It's made of nylon, and appears to be very well-made. In fact, the product tags mention a Lifetime Guarantee--another reason to try a case from Timbuk2. There are three velcro strips that secure the Kindle, and they seem like they will hold up very well. The cushioning is made of memory foam, which is another added bonus. A lot of people opt for the hard leather covers for their Kindle to protect against bumps and drops--I feel this case may hold up just as well, and the design is a little more fun than boring, monotone (and not to mention expensive!) leather.
Upon opening, you'll find that the interior is covered in a soft, faux fur. Heck, if I were a Kindle, I'd like to snuggle up in here after a long day! I am confident this will help keep my Kindle scratch-free while secured inside. If you're in the market for a cover, try a Timbuk2 sleeve. It's also TSA-approved so you'll quickly be able to pass through airport security with your Kindle without having to remove it from this sleeve. I'd recommend this sleeve to anyone who owns a Kindle 3. You'll be impressed with not only the quality, but the style of this sleeve.
