It protects your e-reader while your reading, as oppose to the sleeve that comes with the pocket edition e-reader. I love the screen protector. It has a double sided cover and it's super easy to apply to the screen, so you don't have to worry about getting fingerprints on it. Also, I like that it came with a wall charger, since the e-reader only came with a USB cable. This is a great price for all the items that come in the package.
