(More customer reviews)If, like me, you are tired of "functional, but shoddy," this case will not disappoint. The build quality is flawless. The design is simple. The only whiz-bang feature is the extra fold in the cover that allows the iPad to be placed in either a very comfortable typing position or a sort of balanced easel position. In my opinion, this is all you really need. Additionally, there is a pocket on the inside of the front cover.
This is not a bulky, armored case, so don't expect much protection from a violent drop. That said, it should do a good job of thwarting everyday dangers.
This is the model with the snap closure. At first I thought that I might not like the snap closure; it could be fiddly and could get in the way. But it turns out that that's not really true. The snap closure holds the case shut securely when stored and is no problem to operate. As a bonus, by flipping the snap around backwards, you can use it to hold the cover open when in use.
You may think that the easel position could be wobbly. Its not too bad, actually. It should sit quite securely on a table or an airline tray table. The extra fold in the cover changes the way the weight is distributed and makes this configuration surprisingly stable.
All in all, this is a product that matches the design and quality of the product it was built to protect. If you're willing to spend this kind of money on an iPad cover, you will absolutely get your money's worth.
